When accessing Atticus for the first time, users are required to configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to help protect their account and ensure secure access to the platform. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to verify their identity using a second method in addition to their password, helping to prevent unauthorised access.
Please note that MFA setup is not required for organisations using Single Sign-On (SSO), as authentication is managed through the organisation’s identity provider.
Step 1 – Accept Your Invitation
You should receive an email inviting you to join an Atticus workspace. To create your account, click the Create Account button included in the email invitation.
If you are an existing subscriber accessing Atticus through your organisation’s direct platform link, you can skip this step and proceed directly to Step 2.
Step 2 – Create Your Account
Fill in all required fields:
First Name
Last Name
Password
The 16-digit invitation code will automatically populate from your email invitation.
Step 3 – Set Up Your Authenticator App
At this stage, Atticus will require you to set up Multi-Factor Authentication before you can continue.
We recommend using either Microsoft or Google Authenticator. Please download one of these apps to your mobile device if you do not already have one installed.
Once installed:
Open the authenticator app
Use your device’s camera to scan the QR code
Step 4 – Enter the Verification Code
Your authenticator app will generate a time-sensitive 6-digit verification code.
Enter this code into the field at the bottom of the Atticus authentication screen, then click Enable.
Step 5 – Verify Your Phone Number
The final step is to verify your phone number.
Enter your phone number, ensuring the correct country code is selected
You will receive a 6-digit one-time passcode (OTP) via SMS
Enter the passcode to complete the authentication process
Step 6 – Access the Platform
You have now successfully completed the authentication setup.
Click Continue to access the Atticus platform.
